Studies: first at the Faculty of Medicine in Brno until the closure of the Universities in 1939, after the Second World War at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno by Prof. Vincenc Makovsky, where he also worked as his assistant.
He worked as a professor at the grammar school in Jesenik.
