An icon of furniture making of the First Republic - the H-269 armchair - is one of the most famous designs by Jindřich Halabala, mass-produced in the 1950s. Thanks to its elegant shape and the comfort it provided, the chair has rightly found countless owners. The modernist reintroduced the chair into licensed small-scale production. The finish of the basic version of the beech frame is done with a colourless semi-matt varnish. The wood can be left in its natural colour or stained under the varnish. The method of upholstery is custom-made.

It is possible to make a chair in a classic design from compressed spring springs of various dimensions. Subsequently, it is possible to fill it with African grass and horsehair. The standard filling is a layering of polyurethane material. Another option is the modern method of padding using so-called registers and rubber-coating.

The wooden frame can be made in oak veneer or RAL colour. Price: 47.900 CZK + 3,5 b. m. of covering material (leather consumption is 5,5 m2)

Painting of the frame is possible with any RAL colour in both matt and glossy finish /extra charge 7.000,-CZK/. The frame can also be made in oak veneer. Additional fee 3.000,-CZK

The extra charge for the classic upholstery made of sprung compression springs is CZK 6,000.

The armchair can be upholstered in any fabric, leatherette or leather, either from our offer or selected and supplied by the customer.

Jindřich Halabala (1903 - 1978), as the main designer fundamentally influenced the activity and creation of United UP factories, a company that was one of the most progressive and largest furniture factories in the then Czechoslovakia.
