This cubist armchair and related chair were designed by Vlastislav Hofman as part of the interior for sculptor Josef Mařatka. Their seemingly austere appearance is softened by the careful details of the chamfered surfaces on the edges of the legs and the triangular veneers on all surfaces. A masterpiece. Selected also for the renovated wedding hall of the Old Town Hall in Prague. Reproduction of the original in the UPM.
